The distance from Fortaleza to Jericoacoara is approximately 300 kilometers, and by private transfer, the journey typically takes around 5 to 6 hours, depending on road and weather conditions. This includes a comfortable drive by road from Fortaleza to Jijoca de Jericoacoara, followed by a transfer to a 4×4 vehicle for the final stretch through sandy and off-road terrain to reach Jericoacoara.

How do I meet the driver at Fortaleza Airport?

The driver is going to be waiting with a signboard showing your name. You will meet him at the arrivals hall just after going through the disembarking gate. Fortaleza Airport is chaotic; collect your luggage and pass through security. After that, you will see several drivers holding signboards at a very disorganized arrivals hall. Be patient and look for your name. (This may take a couple of minutes due to the lack of order).
